Updates on single audit developments

This annual Governmental Audit Quality Center (GAQC) web event will help participants learn about the latest single audit developments, with a strong focus on how to navigate challenges associated with submitting a Data Collection Form for Single Audits (DCF) to the new Federal Audit Clearinghouse (FAC).

The format is a fast-paced round of commonly asked questions to a knowledgeable panel of presenters.

The session will cover:

  • Answers to many of the numerous questions submitted during the GAQC’s recent web event on the FAC transition to the General Services Administration (GSA)

PhD
Matt Jadud earned his PhD in computer science from the University of Kent. Since moving to the federal government, Matt has worked with agencies across government on the development of software systems and associated training materials. He currently works with a team on rebuilding the Federal Audit Clearinghouse at GSA, and looks forward to working to improve the policies, process, and tools by which we engage with Single Audits.
Sadie Mayle
CPA
Sadie is a principal at Plante Moran with more than 14 years of experience serving not-for-profit clients. As a member of the Plante Moran technical standards team, she conducts financial statement and single audit engagement quality reviews for the healthcare and higher education industries. Additionally, in her role as the Healthcare Single Audit Technical Leader, she oversees the development of firm guidance, internal trainings, and presenting on relevant technical topics.
George D. Strudgeon
CPA, CGFM, CGMA, MBA
Audit Director, Virginia Auditor of Public Accounts George D. Strudgeon, CPA, CGFM, CGMA, MBA, is an Audit Director at the Virginia Auditor of Public Accounts where he leads the Statewide Single Audit team. Additionally, George serves on the AICPA’s Government Audit Quality Center Executive Committee, the AGA’s Intergovernmental Partnership Steering Committee, and the NSAA’s Single Audit Committee. As a result, he represents these entities twice a year at the Single Audit Roundtable and receives regular updates on OMB and Single Audits. Finally, George shares his insight and knowledge by presenting at national conferences and other events.
